We have had a number of calls regarding a number of issues with Windows 10 machines. It started the week of February 13, 2018. We had three calls for Windows 10 machines that were in an Automatic Repair Loop. We ended up having to do a Reset on a few machines and reinstall their software. Other machines we did a complete reinstall of the OS.
A week later we got calls for mouse and keyboard not working. We were able to find other users on the Net having the same issues after a Windows 10 update. At least these users were able to get into Windows. Some users had a completely black screen so they couldn’t interface with the computer. For these users we were able to do a system restore to a point before the update.
Our tech Corie discovered the update KB4074588 seems to be the main issue. We had Surface Pro 4 that the Keyboard and Mouse won’t work no matter what we did, but removing this update got the mouse and keyboard working again. In the Device Manager remove any devices that have yellow triangle. Restart Windows and Windows should put back some default drivers for the devices.
After we removed the update we used the following link from Microsoft to hide the update.

We did find an extensive discussion about this topic on Bleeping Computers Forum. Here is the link to that thread.
